Hypocreales
This is a large order of ascomycete fungi which are mainly defined by their genetic structure. Members (for which sexual stages are known) form perthecia which are often brightly coloured. The group includes important genera of plant pathogenic fungi like Fusarium, Claviceps or Verticillium.
