Remarks	Sevgan Subramanian is an entomologist with over 10 years experience in developing Integrated pest management (IPM) strategies for insect pests related constraints to crops especially vegetables. His expertise are in the fields of insect virology, plant virology, thrips biology and ecology. He was trained at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, India. His research has focused on the use of baculoviruses for the management of key lepidopteran pests such as Spodoptera litura, Helicoverpa armigera and Plutella xylostella infesting cruciferous vegetables; feeding ecology of P. xylostella and use of behaviour modifying chemicals and entomopathogenic fungi for the management of thrips infesting vegetables and grain legumes.
