Cotesia icipe Fernández-Triana & Fiaboe, 2017 (parasitoid)

This wasp is found in eastern and southern Africa, as well as in parts of the Near East. It appears to be mainly a larval parasitoid of Spodoptera species and has been recorded as the main parasitoid of Spodoptera frugiperda larvae in Ethiopia with natural parasitization rates of around 40% (Sisay et al., 2018). For a taxonomic description see Fiaboe et al. (2017).
