Remarks Current research objectives:
1) Identification and development of corn germplasm resistance to foliage and ear-feeding insect pests;
2) Biochemical and physiological mechanisms of host plant resistance to insects on corn(i.e., fall armyworm, corn earworm, maize weevil, and brown and southern green stink bugs), and pearl millet (i.e., chinch bug, fall armyworm, and corn earworm);
3) Etiology of host plant susceptibility to insect herbivores.
