Golovinomyces (U. Braun) V.P. Heluta 1988

The genus Golovinomyces is widely distributed and contains several important powdery mildew fungi that infect various crops like vegetables in temperate and subtropical regions. For example, Golovinomyces cichoracearum is an important powdery mildew causing pathogen of cucurbits and other crops.
