Fusarium callistephi L. Lombard & Crous 2019
This fungus is widely distributed and infects mainly Chinese aster (Callistephus chinensis), causing a wilt disease. It has been also reported to infect Agathosma betulina (Lombard et al., 2019). On ornamental Callistephus the disease incidences might reach and exceed 50%. F. callistephi belongs to the Fusarium oxysporum species complex and probably represents the forma specialis described as F. oxysporum f.sp. callistephi by authors before 2019.
