Pentatomidae (predators - stinkbugs)

Some species of this family are predators, although the majority are plant feeders. The Pentatomidae are medium-sized insects with a compact shield-like body and a very large scutellum which typically covers a large part of the abdomen. The name Pentatomidae refers to the 5-segmented antennae.
