Picromerus bidens (predator) (Linnaeus, 1758)

This polyphagous predator bug is widely distributed in temperate regions of the northern hemisphere and possibly introduced into North America. It is being studied as a biological control agent against pest insects from the orders Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Hymenoptera. The adults are brownish, 10-15 mm long, with two lateral spines on the pronotum.
