Neonectria obtusispora (Cooke & Harkn.) Rossman, L. Lombard & Crous 2014
This fungus is widely distributed and soilborne. It causes root rot diseases like the black-foot disease of grapevine, characterized by a rapid wilting of the plants. Other fungi can also cause this disease, e.g. see the genus Dactylonectria, and N. obtusispora may also infect the roots of other plants.
