Glomerellales
This group is an order of ascomycete fungi based on the genus Glomerella Spauld. & H. Schrenk 1903 and its type species Glomerella cingulata (Stoneman) Spauld. & H. Schrenk 1903. That species has been regarded as the teleomorph name for Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. The genus Colletotrichum contains many important plant pathogens causing anthracnose diseases.
