Dendrolimus Germar, 1812
The genus contains around 30 species of moths which infest conifers in temperate regions of Europe and Asia. Several are important forest pests. Also, contact with the caterpillars or cocoons can cause allergies in humans (dendrolimiasis). The individual species can be identified by the structure of the male genitalia.
