Stenocarpella macrospora (Earle) B. Sutton. 1977
The fungus infects leaves, ears and sheaths of maize. The most important inoculum source is mycelia that survive saprophytically on maize debris. Spread of the fungus occurs through seeds and by airborne conidia.
