Sirococcus conigenus (Pers.) P.F. Cannon & Minter 1983 - (Sirococcus blight of conifers)
This plant pathogenic fungus is widely distributed in temperate regions of the northern hemisphere. It infects mainly spruce and pine trees, but also other conifers like cedar and hemlock trees. The symptoms include shoot blight and dieback as well as bleeding canker on the trunk.
