Onnia tomentosa (Fr.) P. Karst. 1889

The fungus causes Tomentosus root rot of conifers like spruce and pine in North America. Infections destroy the wood at the base and often kill the trees. Typically neighbouring trees, also become infected, sometimes over an area of several hectares.
