First report of phytoplasma infections in fruit trees and grapevine in Albania
Journal of Plant Pathology 85 (1), 64-64
Abstract: Orchards and vineyards in Albania were surveyed for the presence of phytoplasma diseases. Samples from symptomatic plants were analyses by PCR. Five fruit-trees (apricot, myrobalan and plum) were infected by European stone fruit yellows, five apple trees by apple proliferation phytoplasma and a pear by pear decline phytoplasma. All grapevines had boi noir, but not by flavescence dorée. The presence of the apple proliferation phytoplasma was confirmed serologically with a specific monoclonal antibody.
