Gnomoniopsis comari (P. Karst.) Sogonov 2008

This fungus is widely distributed and causes leaf blotch and stem end rot of strawberry. The disease starts as small leaf lesions which enlarge to necrotic blotches. It often spreads to the petioles and to the calyces around the developing fruits, finally entering the fruits and causing fruit rot. There are several species of fungi causing similar symptoms on strawberry.
