Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. niveum (E.F. Sm.) Snyder & H.N. Hansen 1940 - (watermelon Fusarium wilt)

The fungus is a widespread and yield limiting disease of watermelons. It has been also reported from some other crops like melon. The symptoms include damping-off, wilting and leaf necrosis. The fungus is soil-borne and infects watermelons roots.
