Eotetranychus willamettei Ewing - (Willamette spider mite)
The mite damages grapevine in California. However, the damage is not economically significant and moreover stimulates a defensive response in the grapevine plants that reduces populations of the Pacific spider mite (Tetranychus pacificus).
