Diplodia scrobiculata J. de Wet, Slippers & M.J. Wingf. 2003
This fungus is widely distributed and infects pine trees, causing shoot blight. It is less common and less pathogenic compared to the related Diplodia sapinea. D. scrobiculata was previously referred to as morphotype B of Diplodia pinea (= Sphaeropsis sapinea).
