Diplodia quercivora Linaldeddu & A.J.L. Phillips 2013

The fungus causes dieback and cankers on oak. It has been reported from North Africa, North America and Europe. The conidia are smooth, thickwalled, subcylindrical to oblong-elliptical, widest at the middle and with both ends broadly rounded. They are usually hyaline and aseptate with a size of around 28 x 14 µm (Phillips et al. 2013)
