Diaporthe toxica P.M. Will. 1994

The fungus causes stem blight or Phomopsis pod blight of lupin. The fungus produces toxins and infections cause poisoning in grazing animals. The resulting disease is called "lupinosis" and can lead to liver and brain damage, as well as death of the animals.
