Dactylonectria vitis (A. Cabral, Rego & Crous) L. Lombard & Crous 2014

This fungus has been described from Portugal and is one of several species associated with the black foot disease of grapevine. However, it is only weakly virulent to grapevine in experimental infections (Cabral et al., 2012a). Macroconidia are elongated, with 3 septa and an average size of 42 x 8 µm. Microconidia are egg-shaped with an average size of 5 x 4 µm. Chlamydospores are spherical to egg-shaped, and have a size of 9-18 x 6-13 µm (Cabral et al., 2012b).
