Coniella diplodiella (Speg.) Petr. & Syd. 1927

This fungus infects grapevines, mainly in subtropical regions. It causes white rot of vine, entering the leaves or berries through small wounds, e.g. caused during hail damage or by insects. The disease, initially develops yellow spots, surrounded by brownish haloes. Pycnidia are small and black, but become greyish-white when mature. Yield can be reduced by more than 10%, with some cultivars being resistant to the disease (Su et al., 2019).
