Colletotrichum guaranicola F.C. Albuq. 1960
This fungus is found in parts of South America, where it causes anthracnose on leaves and fruits of guarana (Paullinia cupana), an important crop in the Amazon region. It has been also reported to infect various weeds and other plants in that region (Miléo et al., 2007).
