Ceratobasidium setariae (Sawada) Oniki, Ogoshi & T. Araki 1986

The fungus causes aggregate sheath spot disease and gray sclerotium disease of rice. It is widely distributed, but is considered to be most damaging in more temperate areas of rice cultivation like California, U.S.A. or the Mediterranean region. Yield reductions of up to 20% have been estimated.
