Calonectria spathulata El-Gholl, Kimbr., E.L. Barnard, Alfieri & Schoult 1986
This fungus causes leaf blight in eucalypt in South America. C. spathulata has been described by Crous et al. (2019) as follows: "Perithecia solitary or in groups, orange, becoming orange-red to red-brown with age. Ascospores fusoid with rounded ends, straight to slightly curved, (1–)3-septate, not or slightly constricted at the septa, (38–)45–55(–60) × (4.5–)5–6(–7) μm (av. = 50 × 5.5 μm). Vesicles ellipsoid to obpyriform or clavate, 6–7(–10) μm diam. Macroconidia (48–)75–90(–100) × (4–)5–6 μm (av. = 80 × 6 μm), (1–)3(–6)-septate."
