Bryobia Koch, 1836
This genus includes more than 100 species of plant feeding spider mites. Several species are regarded as agricultural pests and populations can reach high densities. For example, the brown mite, Bryobia rubrioculus is widely distributed and infests the leaves of fruit and nut trees. Some species are also reported to invade homes in large numbers.
