Bromus japonicus (weed) Thunb. - (Japanese brome)

The species is a problematic weed in cereals, causing up to 30% yield loss. It is also invasive in grasslands in many areas. The seeds survive in the soil for several years and the plant can tolerate a wide range of environmental conditions.
