Bacillus thuringiensis Cry34A/Cry35A-toxin (entomopathogen)

This toxin is an artificial combination of Cry34Ab1 and Cry35Ab1 which act together as "binary insecticidal proteins" against certain insect pests like the western corn rootworm (Diabrotica virgifera virgifera). When expressed in transgenic maize plants the combination provides high levels of protection in maize against root worms. See also under the toxins Cry34A and Cry35A.
