Urochloa panicoides (weed) Beauv. - (liverseed grass)
This plant is native to Africa and southern parts of Asia, but has been introduced into other regions such as Australia or the Americas. It is sometimes grown as a fodder crop, but can be also an invasive weed, infesting crops like cotton or cereals (e.g. Osten et al., 2007).
Urochloa panicoides is the type species of the genus Urochloa.
