Podisus nigrispinus (predator) (Dallas, 1851) - (Brazilian spined soldier bug)
The bug is an effective predator of various insect pests in South and Central America. It is used, for example, against the velvetbean caterpillar, Anticarsia gemmatalis, a pest of soybean and other field crops.
