Coniferiporia weirii (Murrill) L.W. Zhou & Y.C. Dai 2016
This fungus infects western red cedar (Thuja plicata) in North America, non-cedar forms are now recognized to belong to the species Coniferiporia sulphurascens. Symptoms include brown staining of the wood, tree death and occasionally hollow trunks. Wood degradation by the fungus causes considerable economic losses.
