Xyleborinus andrewesi
Xyleborinus andrewesi (Blandford)
This ambrosia beetle is native to Africa and warmer parts of Asia. It has been accidentally introduced into North and Central America. X. andrewesi is polyphagous and has been reported to attack Annona and a variety of other trees. In North America, it has been found to be associated with the laurel wilt pathogen. Raffaelea lauricola (Ploetz et al., 2017).
