Xanthomonas vesicatoria (ex Doidge 1920) Vauterin, Hoste, Kersters & Swings 1995

The bacterium infects tomato, sweet pepper and potatoes and causes canker-like lesions on the young fruits and leaves. This species was previously called "Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria type B". See also the closely related species Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. vesicatoria and Xanthomonas euvesicatoria.
