Xanthomonas arboricola Vauterin et al. 1995

The bacterium causes bacterial diseases of fruit trees, other trees and other crops. The species can be distinguished from other Xanthomonas species by certain metabolic activities or the lack of these. It contains several pathovars previously assigned to Xanthomonas campestris.
