Trichodorus Cobb, 1913 - (stubby root nematodes)

This genus of plant-parasitic nematodes contains more 50 species which are polyphagous, migratory ectoparasites. The feeding activities result in stunted (stubby) roots. A number of species are economically important and damage crops like root crops. Several are also vectors of plant viruses from the genus Tobravirus.
