Trichodorus similis Seinhorst, 1963

This species of stubby root nematode has been mainly recorded from Europe. It can be associated with various crops like potatoes, other field crops and grapevines. Further, it has been extracted from the soil around forest trees. As with other species of Trichodorus, the feeding activity results in stunted (stubby) roots and reduced plant growth.
