Trichoderma virens (J.H. Mill., Giddens & A.A. Foster 1957) Arx 1987
The fungus is widely distributed and common in the rhizosphere of plants. It is a biocontrol agent against various plant pathogens such as Fusarium, Rhizoctonia or Pythium and is commercially available.
