Trichoderma harzianum Rifai 1969 (anamorph)
Hypocrea lixii Pat. 1891 is regarded as the teleomorph name for this species.
The fungus is an effective antagonist against soil-born fungal pathogens and is commercially available. It can also colonize crops as endophyte and then induce crop resistance against pests and diseases.
