Sporobolus montevidensis (weed) (Arechav.) P.M.Peterson & Saarela - (denseflower cordgrass)
This plant is native to saltmarshes of parts of South America. It has been introduced into North America, parts of Europe and other regions. It has become invasive in several areas like some saltmarshes in western North America. It competes with native species and alters the environment of the colonized areas.
