Rosaceae (weeds) - (rose family)

The family contains several thousand species of herbs, shrubs and trees. Many are important fruit crops like apple, strawberry or peach. However, various species are important agricultural or invasive weeds like multiflora rose or black cherry.

The flowers are often prominent with five petals and many spirally arranged stamens. The leaves have usually serrated margins and the fruits are often edible.
