Riptortus dentipes (Fabricius, 1787)

This plant-sucking bug is an important pest of legumes in tropical parts of Africa. Nymphs and adults feed on the shoots and the developing pods of cowpea, pigeonpea and other legumes, causing deformed or aborted seeds. Yield losses can be high.
