Podosphaera clandestina (Wallr.) Lév. 1851

The fungus causes powdery mildew diseases of cherry, other Prunus species, elm, as well as other plants. On cherry, the mycelium covers the whole leaf surface. Infected leaves are smaller, curled, and can become necrotic and drop of the tree. Conidia are elliptical and about 25-30 x 15 µm large.
