Pleurostoma richardsiae (Nannf.) Réblová & Jaklitsch 2015

The fungus has been reported from Europe, South Africa and North America. It infects grapevine as well as a number of other plants. On grapevine, it causes an esca-like trunk disease with brown vascular streaking, black spots around the pith, and decline symptoms. In cultures it produces 2 types of conidia, brown, nearly spherical ones with a diameter of 3 µm and hyaline, cylindrical ones with a size of around 6 x 1½ µm.
