Plenodomus Preuss 1851

This genus of fungi is widely distributed and contains around 20 species, including several important pathogens of crops. These cause leaf spots, root rots, wilts and other diseases on vegetables like Brasicca or canker on trees like citrus. Plenodomus lingam causes the important blackleg and stem canker diseases of crucifers. Plenodomus species are closely related to the genus Phoma.

Type species: Plenodomus lingam
