Pinus elliottii (weed) Engelm.
This species of pine tree is native to south-eastern North America. It has been introduced into other regions and has become invasive in parts of South America, disrupting the ecology of native plants and reducing the biodiversity in the invaded areas (e.g. Brewer et al., 2018).
