Papaya lethal yellowing virus (PLYV)

The virus infects papaya in South America and other regions. Leaf symptoms include yellowing of the upper leaves, curling and wilting. Fruit have greenish spots that become yellow with ripening. No vector has been identified, but the virus can be transmitted mechanically.
