Panonychus Yokoyama, 1929
The genus contains around 15 species of spider mites. It includes important agricultural pests like Panonychus ulmi and Panonychus citri. Crops commonly attacked are fruit trees and grape vines. The members of this genus can be recognized by the arrangement of setae, the claw-like empodia and by the dorsal setae arising from prominent tubercles.
