Pachnaeus opalus (Olivier, 1807) - (northern citrus root weevil)
This is a minor pest of citrus in Florida. The adults attack the leaves and the larvae the roots. It can be distinguished from the southern citrus root weevil (Pachnaeus litus) by the smooth anterior margin of the elytra.
