Ophiostoma minus (Hedgc.) Syd. & P. Syd. 1919

This species is a blue stain fungus that is widely distributed in the northern hemisphere, infecting pine trees and other Pinaceae. It is associated with the bark beetle Dendroctonus frontalis which introduces the fungus into the host trees.
